What a day...what a year!
Design of the Month
Tuesday 24th of July 2007 08:06 PM

Every July EDJE has their annual company picnic. The 2007 picnic was held on July 19th this year. The "in house" employees host a lunch for all of the EDJE Employees (see below). It's a day full of fun, food and mingling. It's a great chance for everyone to look back on the previous year and bounce ahead to the years ahead. It's exciting to be a part of a company that's always growing and thinking "outside of the box."

Hurliman Kennels
New Business Website
Wednesday 18th of July 2007 06:58 PM

Dwayne & Tammy Hurliman have been around animals all of their lives, having grown up on farms in south west Oklahoma. Hurliman Kennels is a family owned and operated kennel. The kennel includes Maltese, Yorkshire Terriors and Chihuahuas.

Hurliman Kennels is very hands on with all of their dogs. Each day each dog gets plenty of playing and wrestling around time. All of their puppies are vaccinated and dewormed on time. At Hurliman Kennels, they feed the very best that they know of. It's not the price that determines the brand it's the quality.

Dwayne & Tammy Hurliman have also been in the Club Lamb business for several years.

If you ever find yourself in southwest Oklahoma, give them a call or drop in and meet Dwayne & Tammy Hurliman. They are more than happy to visit with you about our dogs and sheep. Their goal is to provide you with your perfect pet. You can always visit them online at www.hurliman.com!

Friendly Tree Service
New Business Website
Wednesday 18th of July 2007 02:18 PM

Friendly Tree Service was founded in 1982 by Don Nostrand. A Pennsylvania state trooper, Don ran the company as a side business until he retired from the state police in 1993. The company has been growing ever since through its dedication to proper tree care and service-first approach for clients throughout the Lehigh Valley area.

Today, Friendly Tree Service is a second generation tree care company run by Don’s son, Tighe Nostrand, an ISA certified arborist.

What Friendly Tree Service offers:

Tree Care
Every tree is unique and therefore needs specific care to be maintained. Different situations and objectives require an individual tree by tree approach. The types of pruning and maintenance services we offer are: thinning, elevation, dead wooding, crown reduction, pollarding and building clearance (ANSI A300).

Cable and Bracing
Trees can grow with natural flaws such as included bark. Included bark weakens the branch unions. Cables can be installed to give additional support.

Removals
Tree removal can be a sour term for arborists. Unfortunately there are occasions when a tree needs to be removed. As responsible tree care professionals we have the experience and equipment to get the job done safely and efficiently.

Sandhill Ben's Gourmet Seasoning
New Business Website
Wednesday 18th of July 2007 02:10 PM

Sandhill Ben's Gourmet Seasoning was developed by Ben Mellor on his ranch in the beautiful rolling Sandhills of Nebraska. For years, Ben's unique blend of spices was enjoyed by family and friends. Their positive response led to Ben ultimately making it available to you. This all purpose seasoning enhances your favorite meat, fish or poultry. Rub or sprinkle generously on meat, refrigerate overnight and prepare as usual for a mouth-watering treat. Make an ordinary entree special by adding one teaspoon (per pound of meat) to your favorite casserole, meatloaf or sloppy joes. Give added appeal to vegetables or mix with sour cream for delicious baked potato toppings. New food creations are unlimited with Sandhill Ben's Gourmet Seasoning!

Sandhill Ben's Gourmet Seasoning offer Original Blend, Garlic Blend and Cajun Seasoning in 5.5 oz or 28 oz. In addition, they offer a Wood Spice Rack, which is handcrafted by Ben's wife, Pat. The Wood Spice Rack comes complete with all three seasonings and recipes - makes a wonderful gift!

What the Fiber?
New Business Website
Tuesday 17th of July 2007 06:05 PM

Cedar FiberDurham's Store in Oklahoma started off as a donut shop driven away from their original location when a nationally known food chain opened up across the street. The inspiration to move came from this opening and Durhams has blossomed since. You can read the whole story on their about us page.

Durham's Store carries Colorado Straw, feed, wood shavings and hay. In addition to all these offerings, their biggest product is Cedar Fiber. Here is why cedar fiber is so great:

  • Cedar Fiber creates no dust, does not blow away, dries quickly and is the best natural fly repellent on the market.
  • Cedar Fiber soaks up more moisture and odors than any other bedding, while adding a pleasant fragrance.
  • The original Cedar Fiber paddock bedding helps in the healing of joint and hoof pains.

If you live around, or are just driving through Tuttle or Dibble Oklahma, head on over to Durhams. Pick yourself up some donuts and Cedar Fiber.

Trees on the Move
New Business Website
Thursday 12th of July 2007 10:30 AM

Big trees going down the streetEver seen a big tree going down the street? I haven't either, so I didn't even know that big trees could be moved. A recent site I did for Trees on the Move Inc open my eyes to a world where big trees can get uprooted and planted in a new spot.

If you are like me, impatient to the extend where insanity kicks in while waiting in the drive thru at Burger King (the menu hardley changes! how hard is it to order!), then you probably don't want to wait the fifteen years to have a full grown tree in your yard. Let's face it, how many people even stay in their homes that long? I have bought two houses in the past three years alone. And my itch to move is already making me scratch. I need to remove some trees, but want to put new ones in for shade. Plus I will save on my heating and cooling costs. The answer: a big tree mover.

Trees on the Move Inc actually developed the equipment to move large trees. Their technology even allows them to move trees in the dead of winter while the trees are dormant, thus reducing the risk for shock. They even have their own tree farm if you don't have a tree picked out already!

If you live in the upper midwest, North Dakota, Minnesota, Montana, or South Dakota, give Trees on the Move Inc a call for your big tree transplanting needs.

We have a lot to offer!
New Business Website
Monday 9th of July 2007 06:29 PM

I published a new site today for Discover Indianola, Iowa. I have lived in Indianola all my life, and even though I love to travel and visit different cities, there is just something that will keep me here for a long time...

Indianola has all the things other cities list. We have excellent public schools and Simpson College. We have organizations for all and churches that will open their doors to you. We have a central business district on the town square and a highway district with all you could wish. By any measurement, Indianola has what is expected of any progressive and growing community.

We strive to maintain our small town charm while offering unique advantages that provide business, personal, and professional growth opportunities, such as the National Balloon Museum, National Balloon Classic (July 27th - August 4th), Warren County Fair (July 25th - 30th) , Warren County Races and the Des Moines Metro Opera.

Please take a minute to browse through the directory that http://www.discoverindianola.com/ has to offer!
